JP Boxing Gym: Muay Thai camp in Phitsanulok Thailand

We offer Muay Thai training for complete beginners, the bit more advanced to fully professional fighters.

First time doing Muay Thai? JP’s trainers will develop your skills from the ground up and will make you fall in love with this ancient sport. You’ll learn the correct positions to place your body in for the various combat techniques using the eight contact points. You are given step by step teaching in the basics such as boxing stance and basic footwork, followed by different combinations.

Middle-classes and the more experienced fighters can expect to learn boxing skills like combinations, drills and more advanced techniques.  If you are interested in training for a fight, whether it is your first or not, we can absolutely help you get fighting fit. Our gym is very experienced in training fighters, and also well-connected in the fighting scene – JP Boxing even organises major tournaments and fight nights in the area.

Our usual training program

  • Warm up (jump rope, circuit with the group or run 3 / 5 / 7 / 10 kilometers, or your own warm up routine)
  • Stretching
  • Shadow boxing
  • Muay Thai skills and techniques 
    *bag work
    *pad work
    *mirror shadow boxing
  • Strength and conditioning circuits
    *core strengthening
    *circuit workout at the end of every session
  • Cool down and stretching

On request we will teach you more, like:

  • Clinching
  • Sparring
  • Additional training elements for fighters

You can book a private training session for an additional 600 baht. 

Training times

The morning session starts at 7:00 a.m. and lasts for two hours. The afternoon sessions will run from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. If you’re not tired by then, feel free to join our evening  session at 6 pm!

Muay Thai Package

For those who want to focus primarily on Muay Thai and fitness, the basic Muay Thai package is the best pick. Included in this package:

  • 3 daily Muay Thai sessions, 6 days a week
  • accommodation on site or in the nearby hotel
  • healthy and tasty breakfast and dinner
  • coffee, tea, drinking water and toast freely available

VIP Package

Looking for some #wellness besides the boxing? Then the VIP Package might be just for you! Included in this package:

  • 3 daily Muay Thai sessions, 6 days a week
  • 2 daily yoga sessions on site
  • 2 Thai massages a week
  • 1 swimming pool trip a week
  • Sunday excursion to a destination of choice; temples, lake trip, rafting – up to you!
  • night market trip
  • accommodation on site or in the nearby hotel
  • healthy and tasty breakfast and dinner
  • coffee, tea, drinking water and toast freely available

Fighter Package

Interested in fighting? We can get you fighting fit! Included in the fighter package:

  • 3 daily Muay Thai sessions, 6 days a week

1) Muay Thai Package

The Muay Thai Package is perfect for you in case…:

  • you are looking for a way to get fit, gain muscle and/or lose weight
  • you are new to Muay Thai or even martial arts, but you want to learn the basics (and more) the right way
  • you already have experience in combat sports or Muay Thai, but want to step up your game

We offer traditional Muay Thai training three times a day, catering to all levels. JP’s trainers are very beginner friendly, so no worries if you’re new to Muay Thai! 

In this package your accommodation on site is included, as well as two big healthy and tasty meals a day, including fruits, the well needed water, coffee and tea, and toast in case you get hungry during the day. And of course this package includes access to all our training sessions, three times a day, six days a week. Sunday is your rest day. You can choose to join our Sunday trip for a small extra charge, chill on site or make your own plans.

2) All-inclusive VIP Package

The VIP package is perfect if you are looking for something extra. It not only includes accommodation, two meals and training; we make sure to keep you entertained and pampered every day! 

The extras on this package:

  • 2 massages a week at our lovely local spa
  • weekly trip to the serene swimming pool for some cooling off and sun bathing
  • Sunday excursion to a destination of your choice

This VIP Package is ideal for those who are looking for a memorable getaway and want to feel completely taken care of. It’s the perfect balance between going hard in the gym and unwinding afterwards with some well-deserved self care and wellness.   

About our Sunday trip:

Sunday is JP’s family day out for our VIP guests, and the destination is up to you!

Our guests have the opportunity to relax at one of our family’s favourite locations, like the ancient temple grounds of Sukhothai, the famous White Temple in Phetchabun, the local water fun park, chilling on our own raft at the lake, or even trying your hand at rafting if the season allows!

3) Fighter Package

  • Already a seasoned fighter, and want to get ready for your next fight?
  • New to Muay Thai but not new to extensive contact sports or martial arts and looking for a new challenge?
  • Just love working out all day?

Then our Fighter Package is just what you need!

Train, eat, train, eat, sleep, repeat.
This Fighter Package is an unique combination of endurance training, specialised technique workshops and a lot of training. Every week we focus on one element in both theoretical and practical classes.

  • Join our intimate group sessions in the morning, after an optional run by the river with our trainers.
  • Every week we start with a technique workshop in which we address fighting elements like knees, clinching and blocking.
  • Practice the new techniques from the workshop in a private session later o.n
  • And finish your training day with sparring and pad work in the afternoon and evening training.
  • Want to train more? You can use our gym freely throughout the day.

Do note: although this package focusses on getting you fighting fit, you don’t HAVE to fight! Also, if we are unsure if you are ready to fight, we will never encourage you to do so.

Extra activities

Before the morning session we often go for a 3k-7k run at the river bank near the camp. A great way to work on your endurance while the neighbourhood slowly starts the day. Soak up the views and get yourself ready for a new full day of training.

Included is the Pagoda Mountain Challenge. Ancient warriors used to run up this mountain to pray to the God Pagoda and receive blessings. The workout is fun, the views are breathtaking, and JP Boxing Gym treats you to a rewarding breakfast at the temple on top of the mountain too.
